Spent much of today exploring different ways of portraying Alex for the “Worry-bear” book series. No matter how many different art materials I play with, I always enjoy good old pencil and paper!

Cold Bath Street – Special Edition
Friday, October 19th, saw the official launch of the special, limited edition, version of “Cold Bath Street”, at the University of Central Lancashire, home of UCLan Publishing. Only 1000 copies produced, each with a bookplate signed by author and illustrator.
In the St Peter’s Arts Centre of the university, author AJ Hartley discussed the book in an online Skype interview. As illustrator, I was delighted to be asked to sign copies of this lovely book and produce a little doodle for each reader.
Paranormal investigators, Deadlive, demonstrated the tools of the trade they use in their operations and answered questions, in the deeply atmospheric church building.
Now we are all eagerly anticipating the publication of the sequel to this mysterious tale.

Recently, I have been working on my “Worry-bear” series of stories. Having researched reactions to previous illustrations for the stories, I felt the pictures needed to be looser and fresher.
